Ruby and Ruby

Ruby the Great, my grandma, passed away today.  We are all going to miss her so much.  But we are all happy for her and know she is in a better place where she will be with Grandpa.  My special memories of her are mostly from my younger days when I remember the smell of coffee in the morning.  All of the yummy foods she would make when we would come to visit.  She would always take us to the park to play.  And she took us dancing.  She loved to dance and I couldn't be more grateful that she shared that with all of us.  We would all go out to the dance hall and dance all night.  She loved her German heritage and her family.  One of  my favorite memories that is more recent is when she took my mom, sadie and I out to the farm she grew up on.  The barns were still there and she told us stories of playing hide and seek with her siblings.  She took us to the river where she would fish for dinner and we looked across the field that she would run across and her friend met her on her horse where they rode out to Womack Hall and went to church.  Grandma I love you so much and you will be greatly missed by so many.  You taught us so much.
Ruby Elsa Otilliea is 6 months old and such a joy.  She makes our whole family happy.  She makes us all smile all the time.  She was named after my Grandma and Cory's Great-Grandma.  We were blessed to be able to go to Texas for Thanksgiving and Ruby and Ruby were able to meet.  Grandma was so proud telling everyone she saw that her great granddaughter was named after her.
