Pinocchio

Sadie has been part of a singing group at school ever since the first grade.  The first 2 years it was the Minisingers and the last 3 years it has been the Meistersingers.  Every year they try to have a concert before Christmas and then some kind of a bigger production for the spring.  In the first grade she was just happy to be part of the group.  In the second grade she went for a speaking part. In Cute Chicks she had a small maybe 2 liner but it was just the beginning.

In the third grade she stepped it up and had her very first singing solo.  I was so proud of her.  She sang simple gifts.  In the fourth grade they only had a concert. (I had another picture, but I am having the hardest time uploading - very frustrating!)
In her fifth and final year at her Elementary school she tried out and was casted as the star of the show.  She was PINOCCHIO!  I was so proud of her, again.  She goes to school early nearly every morning for rehearsals and has worked very hard.  Last night, April 9, 2008 was her big shinning moment.  And shine she did.  She was absolutely fantastic.  One of the ladies that helps out with the show told me before I saw the show that Sadie "made the show" and that if she were her daughter she would be crying throughout the show because she was so proud.  I thought that was the nicest thing to say.  Sadie did a wonderful job and I am so very proud of her.  She has a very bright future.

i am so so sorry tiff. all i can think is HOW? HOW did this happen? i have heard you sing. and since you have also heard me sing, i'm comfortable saying this without worrying about offending...

but hey. roll with it. if the girl has a gift, she has a gift. it mattereth not from whence it sprung.

although, if you figure that out, um, lemme know...

Andrea is right. Neither one of us can sing. Cory was correct when he said it must have skipped a generation for the women in our family. Mom can sing like an angel, and so can Sadie. Although she got a lot of the guts from Dad. Best gene to get from him.

Sadie, you were incredible!!!

The question is, did you cry through the entire performance?? Mya still cannot stop talking about it. Sadie is making a huge impression on Mya's life, and for that I am grateful. She is talented and amazing! Sadie, congrats on getting the role, and making the show!
