Still More Fun to be had in TEXAS!!

One night Cory and I and Jonny and Amanda left the kids 

with Mimi and Papa and went to dinner.  It is by far our most

favorite place to eat in Texas.  It is about 45 min from my 

parents house, but worth every minute.  It is called the 

Hard 8.  We had steak, sausage and ribs.  Quite the indulgence.

We can't miss a chance to visit Harmony Ranch when we 

go to Texas.  Sadie makes a mad dash for the golf cart and 

drives all over the property.  Then we love to feed all of the 

longhorns and their babies and try to remember their names.

Then we always go for a ride in the back of the pickup truck.

We saw lots of white tailed deer this time jumping over the 

fences to get away from us.  They run amazingly fast and jump

just as high.  Thanks so much to the Sampsons.

We also ventured out to a dinosaur park.  Texas has all kinds

of dinosaur fossils.  And actually the river on my grandpa's

homestead is filled with fossils that our family has given

to museums and science teachers all over.

The kids had a blast playing in the river and 

getting all wet.  Climbing the rocks and just 

being outside in the great weather.
