In Cory's family Grandma and Grandpa started a tradition of taking
their grandchildren on 12 year old trips. Cory went on his "12 year old
trip" to Hawaii. Well, Sadie and 2 of her cousins turned 12 this year and
have been anxiously waiting for this Monumental vacation with
Grandma and Grandpa. Now, Sadie is technically a great - grandchild.
But, lucky her. Grandma and Grandpa are too old to travel on their own
so they take Craig and Lisa. Sadie's Grandma and Grandpa. She got to
go with her Great Grandma and Grandpa and her Grandma and Grandpa.
She was so excited. And so were we. The destination was Cancun, Mexico.
Sadie got her first passport, something I don't even have.

At night they all played Dominos together, the 3 would watch
movies together and over all they had a great time. I Kept waiting
for her to do this post herself, but it wasn't happening. Sadie had
the time of her life. She was so excited to do something with her
Grandmas and Grandpas and her cousins that she gets along
fabulously with. While they were gone they heard all kinds of
stories about other cousins 12 year old trips and SAdie especially
liked the stories about her dad. This is a memory that lasts a lifetime
So thank YOu so much to all that made it happen.

WOW. Sadie is so lucky to have both grandparents AND both great grandparents still alive and well enough to travel. I faintly remember my great grandmother...
And it is so weird to read the post and see that picture of Craig - to think he is a Grandpa is really weird to me. I don't know why - my parents are grandparents now too. I guess your parents are always just one age in your mind.
That looks like a great trip! What a cool tradition!
What a lucky girl to take a trip with Lee, Shirley, Craig & Lisa. They are some of my favorite people. Brother & Sister Carlson still look so wonderfu. Tell them Jeana says hi.
