Valentines Day for Sadie is so exciting. Every year that she has been in school she has chosen to make her own valentines. None of those commercial style valentines at the grocery store will do. Her creative juices flow and there is no stopping her. The only problem to this is that her creative juices tend to be last minute. This never seems to be a problem for her, just me. She had actually long decided what she was going to make, but with all of our busy schedules it was still done last minute. I even tried to help out a lot by precutting before she got home from school. But once she started making them, a cute cell phone with the valentine message like a text message, the example was clearly not good enough and she needed to add her own embellishments. After working on them for a couple of hours she finally gave into my coaxing, yelling, and gave up on the extra embellishments. The finished project was quite cute but then it was time to move on to the valentines box. I had to leave the room. With this project there was paper and glue everywhere. I just die seeing all of this. I try to tell myself that this is great. Good for Sadie. But it is sooooo hard.
I wish I had a picture of Jaxon. He had to write his name on all 12 of his valentines and half way through he put his hand on his head and let out a big sigh. It was such hard work for him to do that and get all of the letters right each time. I am just glad that he's happy with spiderman.
Happy Valentines Day

i love sadie. a girl after my own heart. creative and frustrated. i hope that as a good mother, you saved an extra of her valentines to put in her scrapbook, to document her creativity.
hee hee.
the kids are getting so big. congrats on surviving another holiday. tell sadie i LOVED her valentines. tell her next year i'll pay her to make mine. only i have a timeline.
TIFF! you can't put my last name up here. what if a stalker finds me, and comes and gets me? the FBI will trace it back to YOU for posting my last name, and then you might have to go to jail. at the very least, you'll have guilt over my abduction.
Cute Cute! I didn't even know you had a blog! I hope you don't mind that I linked up to you!!
