Ruby, Ruby, Ruby, Ruby

All dressed up with somewhere to go!

Ruby will be 8 months old next week and our year is just flying by.  It really makes me sad.  She is so cute and sweet.  I am really cherishing every moment with her.  I know that before too long she will be 11, like Sadie.  I even cherish her at 4:00 in the morning.  probably because  I haven't seen her 2 or 3 other times before that.  When I nurse her she will play with my hair or sometimes her own few hairs and it is priceless.  She is always so content to play on the floor with her toys.  She isn't crawling yet, so she stays put where I can keep an eye on her.  Like I said, she isn't crawling yet, which baffles us.  All of our other kids were crawling by 6 months and walking by 9 months.  What is funny is that she still maneuvers around quite well if she wants to.  She scoots on her little bottom and before you know it she is across the room.  Sometimes she accomplishes this by crawling backwards as well.  The other night she actually progressed forward on her knees, we were all so excited.  Even the boys were cheering her on as she crawled towards an easter egg.  I thought this would be the beginning but she still chooses to sit.  Which is o.k..
Jenny and I have started a project of trying to make cute bows for Ruby's hair.  It has given us real motivation to get together each week which the kids really love, and we do too.  We finally figured out how to do it and it is so super easy and cheap.  It has been fun and Ruby is such a great model.  I happened to go to the mall one night after we made her a cute big brown w/ blue polka dots and Ruby got so much attention.  I am quite sure it was because of the bow.  I think it drew attention to her and then well she is so cute with her red hair and big blue eyes that it all speaks for itself.

Ruby is always trying to pull herself up.

I cannot believe those pictures - she really has the same color of hair as Matthew, and Matthew also scoots on his bottom to get around! That is so funny. What a dollface.
