My husband is very sneaky, or at least he thinks he is. He surprised me with a plane ticket to go to North Carolina to see my good friend, and sister in law, Diane. It was her birthday last week and he thought that I should go and be with her. My brother, her husband, is in Afghanistan. Ruby and I went and left Cory and the other 3 home to fend for themselves for the week. I had the most wonderful time. My mom was also there for a couple of days. So we just hung out, went out to lunch, went shopping, watched HGTV, and talked. We had such a good time together. We also went to the beach one day which was beautiful. Abby made a clubhouse under the stairs while I was there and we would make "appointments" to go in and visit with her. Jack was always saying "baby, baby" and would give Ruby big hugs and bring her toys. He was so sweet the whole time. I hated to say goodbye, but we are going to see them again in Utah this summer. I can't wait. Thanks Cory!

i'm glad you had a good time. i'm sure diane enjoyed the visit too. deployments can get very lonely. way to go cory. you're almost as phenomenal as my husband.
OK, I knew that your Mom went to North Carolina, but Jonny didn't even tell me that you were there too! It looks like you had such a blast! I'm so glad you guys could go and be with Diane.

Hey Tiff! I found your blog on Sara and Marc Larsen's blog. I love these new pictures of Ruby. Her hair is getting so red! It's been a while since I've seen her, kids change to quick! Anyway check out our blog when you get a chance. I'll be sure to add yours to ours.
