It was my birthday last week and so Cory and I decided that it
was time for our every other year vacation. Although this year
we did take Ruby, we still had a lot of fun. Carmel is the most
beautiful place and one of our most favorite destinations. One
day hopefully Cory will be able to play at Pebble Beach. My
best friend Amy has a house in Carmel and that is where we get
to stay when we go there. It is a little cottage and we just love
to be there. My brother Jonny has been living in Monterey
for the last couple of years going to the language school for the
National Guard and was graduating last week. So we thought it
was perfect timing to go. Even though I wasn't ready to leave
Ruby behind. At least we were able to leave the rest of our crazy
life.

We had such a great time with everyone and getting to know
Emma and Matthew better. Emma said I was her favorite Aunt!!
