Once upon a time, about a year and a half ago, it was a beautiful
Easter Sunday. We took cute pictures, went to church, and then
we went to Grandma Shirley's house for dinner and and easter egg
hunt and lots of family and fun. Well, Sadie got a special present from
her cousin, DeDe. Sadie wanted to put that present in the car to keep
it safe so she asked her dad for the keys to the car so that she could
put that extra special present in the car. Now Sadie was supposed
to bring those keys right back to her dad, but with all the excitement
and family and fun she just forgot. It was getting late and the time to
go home was upon us. That's when dad said, " oh yeah, I gave the keys
to Sadie"! Oh, Sadie, "Where are the keys to the car?" Uhhhhh Uhhhhh
didn't I give them back to you........... We sent out a search party looking
for these keys. Now grandma Shirley's back/side/front yard is no
ordinary yard. We have hills and valleys and ponds and flowers and
shrubbery and just about anything you can imagine. Sadie was most
certain that Max had gotten a hold of the keys and threw them in the
pond. End of keys! Of course Cory had an extra set of keys and we
got home and called about getting new keys. 300 DOLLARS are you
kidding me. We will have to make do with one set of keys.........
Now we fast forward a year and a half. I received a phone call the
other day and I kid you not our keys have been found and all of
the buttons work. ( ie. lock and unlock) Grandma Shirley gave
away a few bags of old clothes to her housekeeper. Her housekeeper
was going through the clothes and in one of the pockets were a
set of keys, MY keys. We don't know how the keys got in
grandma's pocket, but We are happy to have them back.
